Elemental: Hydrogen vs. Hindenburg

Animation and motion graphics from “Elemental: Hydrogen vs Hindenburg”, a National Geographic documentary by Academy Award-winner Robert Zemeckis revealing how hydrogen has controlled the outcome of human history.

This eclectic mix of animation and motion graphics is inspired by design trends of each time period including a solar system timeline, Henry Cavendish’s original hydrogen experiment illustrations, Hindenburg blueprints, hydrogen’s attraction to oxygen, the invention of the hydrogen bomb and the US/Soviet space race.
