The Passion Of The Pop

Artwork created for the Seven With Another art exhibition.

What is Seven With Another?
Collaborations are nothing new in the art world but Seven With Another pushes traditional boundaries by choosing to pair creatives with widely different creative abilities together. This leads to interesting projects, different from what each artist would normally do on his/her own. Graphic designers, fashion designers, musicians, fine artists, architects, choreographers, motion designers, writers, illustrators, photographers, sculptors, set designers… creative people from traditional and non-traditional creative industries all come together in random pairings to create something uniquely new.

“The Passion Of The Pop” is a collaboration between Zenon Kohler (VFX Director) and Adam Meisenhelter (Maker)

CONCEPT: In a last-ditch attempt to appeal to the younger generation of a consumerist society, the Catholic Church has replaced the archaic ritual of rosary beads and prayer with seven soul-saving softdrink flavours.

This piece was exhibited at the seventh Seven With Another biannual art exhibition at Brisbane Powerhouse from 11-17 July 2013 and at the Seven With Another Retrospective (also at Brisbane Powerhouse) from 25 March – 25 April 2014.

“The Passion Of The Pop” was privately purchased in July 2014 and installed at Next Thursday Advertising Agency. It has since moved on – its whereabouts unknown.
